Day Before the River :
Meet in Vernal on for pre-trip orientation. At this time your guides will provide you with dry bags, last minute packing suggestions, answer any questions you may have and help with the final details of the trip before departure.
Day 1: Trip Departure :
Meet outside at the hotel at 7:00 a.m, depart for the river approximately 7:30 a.m. At the river your guides will be prepared to load the final pieces of equipment and start your adventure. Your day will encompass whitewater, hikes, and a delicious riverside lunch with photography guidance along the way. When you arrive at your first camp the guides will be attentive to the details making it a comfortable outdoors experience.
Day 2 & 3: On the River :
Start the morning with hot coffee, a wonderful breakfast, beautiful sunrise followed by taking down camp and packing for a day of adventure, with hikes, whitewater, lunch, a lot of fun, and photographing the beautiful world around you. You will end the day with a relaxing camp time experience, sunset shoots, and optional night photography.
Day 4: Final Day of the Trip :
Last day on the river; a peaceful morning float through Rainbow Park and Island Park followed by an afternoon filled with exciting whitewater through Split Mountain Canyon. This section of river has some of the Green Rivers most exciting rapids. A lunch stop on a wonderful sandy beach puts you a few river miles away from the takeout. Here you will take a 30-minute shuttle ride back to Vernal, Utah returning to Dinosaur Inn around 3:30 p.m.

We will be partnering with Dinosaur River Expeditions. Since 1979 DRE has been leading trips through this iconic section of river. Their river guides have a deep love for the area and are highly regarded as friendly and professional ambassadors for the Gates of Lodore.
LODGING INFORMATION
We partner with Dinosaur Inn for lodging, give them a call (1-435-789-2660) and ask for the Dinosaur River Rate of 15% off, plus tax. They are located at 251 East Main Street Vernal, UT. The Dinosaur Inn is in downtown Vernal. Walking distance to restaurants and museums. They start serving a hot breakfast at 6:30 am and will hold your personal belongings (such as keys). This is where your vehicle will be parked during the duration of the trip.

Alex Kent's passion for photography has spanned well over two decades now. His photographic interests are broad ranging from travel, adventure, and nature to architecture, abstract, and portraiture. With over 17 years of professional teaching experience across a broad range of age demographics he brings an approachable methodology to his presentations. He’s an avid outdoorsman and child-at-heart. You may find him lying in the brush, submerged chest deep in water or even climbing a tree to “get the shot”. Participants are responsible for their own photography equipment and personal belongings. Alex Kent Photo, Bedford Camera & Video, all employees, and on-river guides hold no liability for loss, damage, or theft of personal property during the tour.
**Weather Conditions:**
Participants understand that weather conditions may impact the tour itinerary. Alex Kent and on-river guides reserve the right to modify or adjust activities for the safety and enjoyment of all participants.
**Travel Insurance:**
It is strongly advised for participants to obtain travel insurance covering potential trip disruptions, personal trip cancellation, medical emergencies, and unforeseen events. Alex Kent Photo, Bedford Camera & Video, all employees and on-river guides are not responsible for any financial losses incurred due to such circumstances.
**Release of Liability:**
Participants voluntarily release Alex Kent Photo, Bedford Camera & Video, all employees, associates, and on-river guides from any liability, claims, or actions arising from personal injury or property damage before, during, and after the trip.
**Medical Emergencies:**
In the event of a medical emergency, participants authorize Dinosaur River Expeditions to seek and administer necessary medical treatment, with associated expenses becoming the participant's responsibility.
**Photography Rights:**
Participants grant Alex Kent Photo and Bedford Camera & Video permission to use photographs or videos taken during the tour for promotional and marketing purposes.
