Sarah J. Adams
Sarah Adams is a granddaughter of American landscape photographer, Ansel Adams. She will share her unique overview of Ansel’s life and his contribution to the Arts and the Environment, as “Ansel Adams and the American Earth.” Sarah believes that living with a mural print of Ansel’s image Snake River, Teton National Park, CA, which took up one wall in her small bedroom, along with a picture-window view over the San Joaquin river valley, was the impetus for what was to come. Ansel’s photographs of the American West and it’s pioneering people living on the edge of wildness, will hopefully inspire the audience as much as it has her. For the past 14 years Sarah’s primary role has been as a mother, after a decade of managing the Mono Inn restaurant at Mono Lake. Prior to that, she worked for her family business, The Ansel Adams Gallery, where she continues to be a member of it’s Board of Directors, anseladams.com. Most recently, she published two of Ansel and Virginia’s children’s books for family. Sarah is delighted to be visiting Little Rock, Arkansas in the heart of the U.S.A.
